Starter motor for Johnson and Evinrude 25/35HP three-cylinder outboards

A 12V replacement starter specifically for selected three-cylinder Johnson and Evinrude two-stroke outboards from the late 1990s. It uses counter-clockwise rotation and a 10-tooth pinion.

Best used for: electric-start repair on compatible fishing boats, RIBs, tenders and small workboats using the listed OMC three-cylinder two-stroke engines.

  • Johnson 25HP and 35HP three-cylinder two-stroke: selected 1998-2001 applications.
  • Not for two-cylinder 25/35HP engines; cylinder count and original starter reference are essential.
  • Not for Johnson/Evinrude four-stroke or E-TEC applications.

Compatibility rule: verify the complete engine model and serial range, original OEM number, voltage, rotation, pinion teeth/diameter, mounting and terminal layout. Horsepower alone is not sufficient.
