Alarm, visual warning and bilge-pump control in one 12V system
The SEAFLO SFWAS1-20-03 is a 12V DC high-water alarm control system combining a sealed electric-field water sensor with a panel-mounted audible/visual alarm and switch control. It monitors bilge water level, warns the crew and can control a compatible bilge-pump circuit up to the stated rating.
It suits yachts, motorboats, RIBs, fishing craft and workboats requiring an independent high-water warning and controlled pump operation from a convenient panel location.
Safety and control features
- Sealed solid-state electric-field sensor with no mercury and no moving float.
- Approximately three-second delay helps reject false starts caused by splash or wave motion.
- Sensor activates at approximately 41 mm and deactivates at approximately 9.5 mm water level.
- Audible warning rated at 85 dB or higher plus a red visual warning LED.
- Three-position control allows the piezo alarm to be silenced while the warning LED remains active.
- Sensor electronics are isolated from direct water contact and designed to resist oil, debris and corrosion.
- Rated for compatible 12V bilge-pump circuits up to 20 A maximum.

Boat compatibility and installation checks
- For 12V DC marine systems only; use the corresponding 24V version for a 24V vessel.
- The connected bilge pump and its starting/running load must remain within the 20 A rating.
- Mount the sensor at the intended safety level on a clean surface and test activation, pump control, LED and buzzer before service.
- Use marine-grade cable, correctly sized fuse and moisture-protected connections above normal bilge-water level.
- Place the panel where it remains visible and audible from the operating position.
- This system does not replace correct bilge-pump sizing, secondary pumping or regular manual inspection.
- Package: alarm control panel and electric-field bilge sensor. Pump, fuse, main cable and mounting consumables are separate.
Frequently asked questions
Does the package include a bilge pump?
No. It includes the alarm/control system and sensor; the pump is a separate component.
Can it operate a 24V pump?
No. This is the 12V system. Use the correct 24V version for a 24V pump and supply.
Can the audible alarm be silenced?
Yes. The three-way control can disable the piezo sound while keeping the visual warning active.
Why is there a three-second delay?
It helps prevent nuisance activation from brief splashes or water movement.
