Questions & Answers
Is this a genuine original part?
Yes, this is genuine International Yacht Paint (an AkzoNobel brand). Toplac Plus is the official successor to the original Toplac range.
How do I know if it is compatible?
Toplac Plus is compatible with all standard boat-building substrates including GRP, Wood, Steel, and Aluminium, provided they are correctly primed with an undercoat such as International One UP.
Does this paint require "tipping off" with a brush?
No. One of the primary benefits of the "Plus" formula is its improved flow, which allows for a high-gloss finish directly from a roller application without the need for the secondary tipping-off step.
Note: Always ensure the surface is dry and free from contamination. Avoid application in late evening to prevent condensation affecting the gloss level. Use International Thinner No. 100 for best results.
