Oar Collar Plastic 45mm x 55mm

Premium Marine Grade Shaft Protection

This high-quality plastic oar collar is an essential accessory for any rowing boat or dinghy. Designed to fit securely around the oar shaft, it provides a sacrificial wear surface that protects the wood or composite material from friction damage caused by the rowlock. Additionally, it acts as a reliable stop, preventing the oar from sliding out of the rowlock during use.

RELIABILITY: Manufactured from UV-stabilized, weather-resistant plastic to ensure longevity in harsh saltwater and freshwater environments.

Questions & Answers

Is this a genuine original part?

This is a premium quality aftermarket replacement part from 4Boats, manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment standards for fitment and marine durability.

How do I know if it is compatible?

Measure the diameter of your oar shaft where the rowlock sits. If the measurement is 45mm (approx. 1.77 inches), this collar will provide a standard tight fit.

The collar is very stiff, how do I install it?

For easier fitting, we recommend submersing the collar in hot, soapy water for a few minutes. This softens the plastic, allowing it to slide onto the oar shaft more easily. It will then shrink and tighten as it cools for a secure fit.

Note: Please verify your oar shaft diameter before purchasing. For more marine equipment, visit 4boats.co.uk.
