Questions & Answers
Is this a genuine original part?
This is a premium quality aftermarket replacement part, manufactured by 4Boats to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) standards for fitment and performance.
My old starter has 9 teeth. Will this 11-tooth starter fit?
Yes. This 11-tooth PMGR starter is the modern superseding design for the older 9-tooth Delco units. It is designed to work perfectly with the same 168-tooth flywheel and provides better cranking reliability.
How do I know if I have a 14-inch flywheel?
If your starter uses the offset (staggered) bolt pattern where the two bolts are not in a straight line, you have a 14-inch (168-tooth) flywheel. This starter is specifically for that configuration.
