Questions & Answers
Will this cure to a tack-free finish in open air?
As a standard gelcoat, it will remain tacky on the surface when exposed to air to allow for secondary chemical bonding. If you require a tack-free finish for a topcoat repair, you must add "Blue Gee Wax in Styrene" to convert it into a flowcoat.
How do I know if it is compatible?
This is compatible with all standard polyester-based GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) structures. Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and degreased with acetone before application.
Can I tint this gelcoat to match my boat's color?
Yes, this clear gelcoat is designed to be used with Blue Gee Polyester Pigment concentrates. We recommend a mixing ratio of 5-10% pigment by weight for optimal opacity.
Note: Professional application is recommended. Always wear protective PPE and work in a well-ventilated area. Distributed via official Barrus channels. Available at 4boats.co.uk.
