What is the difference between Offset and Inline holes?
Offset (or staggered) holes are designed for the larger 14-inch (168-tooth) flywheel commonly found on 3.0L, 4.3L, 5.0L, and 5.7L GM-based engines. If your current starter uses two bolts that are NOT aligned in a straight line, this M1786 unit is the correct replacement.
